Congress Patches Medicare Payments For Doctors

Congress has once again passed a short term extension of the Medicare payment for doctors.  With out it, doctors could see a cut of as much as twenty three percent in their reimbursements for Medicare patients.  South Dakota Senator Tim Johnson say its been difficult to find agreement on a permanent funding source for the payments…

Johnson says the extension will carry the payments though the end of the year…

Money is now being transferred from physical therapy funds to doctors. Johnson says that’s little more than a band aid…
