City Seeing Good Response To "Earth Month" Effort

To tail off the Arbor Week announcement, Commissioner Gary Harrington says the City is donating 250 trees for planting by elementary school students…


Two weeks ago the City Commission received complaints about plastic shopping bags cluttering up open property in areas on the south side of Huron. Alyward says many groups are stepping up to try and get a handle on the issue…


Alyward added with gusty winds like those on Monday, the clean up efforts would need to continue. Participation in the city-wide clean up continues to be popular with 411 loads of trash taken to the Huron City Rubble Site last week.  507 loads came through during the first week.
