South Dakota Looking To Set Up Collection Agency For Recovering Debts Owed To State

MoneyThis year’s session of the South Dakota Legislature created the Obligation Recovery Center, which will be a state run collection agency. It has been estimated there could be debts of between thirty to fifty million dollars owed to the state.  The Government Operations and Audit Committee this week got an update on the process.  Jeff Holden, Acting Commissioner of the Bureau of Administration, says they opened up the process earlier this summer…
