Huron Regional Medical Center kicked off its construction for the HRMC Physicians Clinic expansion and medical imaging remodeling project Monday. A column rising ceremony was held in front of the HRMC Physicians Clinic. Laurie Solem HRMC Board Chair welcomed attendees to the event and emphasized the boards decision to invest in the future of healthcare delivery in Huron and the region.
The project will transform the hospitals multi specialty clinic located just to the south of HRMC’s main hospital campus from a single story structure to a two level clinic, doubling the square footage and add capacity for another 10 physicians. HRMC President and CEO Erick Larson about what the boards thought were with the construction project.
Larson gave credit to the planning committee in fine tuning the process.
Representatives from the design team Wold and the construction company Krause Anderson were on hand. Justin Picek with Picek Construction and HRMC board member said the design began in early November.
Picek said part of the expansion includes moving the mammography unit and a significant upgrade.
Dedication of the expansion is planned for Summer of 2022.
